LATR PAYMENTS PTY LTD ("we", "us", "our") operates the BLOW AI mobile application. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information you provide directly:
- Profile data — your name, date of birth, biological sex, weight, height, and optionally body fat percentage.
- Licence information — your home region and driving licence type.
- Health context — whether you are taking medications and your typical sleep hours.
- Session data — drinks logged per session, including drink type, volume, ABV, and timestamp; BAC estimates; and pre-session context (sleep, food, hydration).
- Scan data — if you use the drink scanner, a photo of your drink is sent to our AI provider for processing. Barcodes are sent to the Open Food Facts database to retrieve product information. Neither photos nor barcodes are stored by us.
All profile and session data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not operate our own database of user records.
2. How We Use Your Information
- BAC estimation — your weight, sex, height, and body fat percentage are used locally on your device to estimate your blood alcohol concentration using the Widmark formula.
- AI insights — when you request an AI-generated insight during a session, a privacy-protected summary is sent to Anthropic (the provider of the Claude AI). This summary contains only approximate data: weight in 10 kg bands, age in 5-year brackets, rough session duration, drink types and counts. Your name, exact weight, date of birth, or any identifying information is never included.
- Drink scanning — photos you capture are sent to Anthropic's API for drink identification and are not retained beyond the request. Barcodes are sent to Open Food Facts, a public product database, to retrieve alcohol content information.
- Subscription management — your subscription is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details.
3. Third-Party Services
- Anthropic (Claude API) — processes anonymised session summaries and drink-scan photos. See: anthropic.com/privacy
- Open Food Facts — a public, open-source food and beverage database. Barcode lookups are anonymous. See: world.openfoodfacts.org
- Apple App Store / StoreKit — handles all subscription billing and renewal.
We do not use any third-party advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, or crash reporting services.
4. Data Storage & Retention
All your profile, session, and drink data is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to any server we operate. Data persists until you either use the "Delete all data" option in the app, or delete the BLOW AI app from your device.
5. Children's Privacy
BLOW AI is intended for users who are of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction (18 years or older in Australia). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
6. Your Rights
Because your data is stored locally on your device, you have direct control over it at all times. You may access and edit your profile data through the Profile tab, delete all data permanently using the "Delete all data" option, or contact us at ethan@latrpayments.com with any privacy questions.
7. Security
Data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework and is protected by your device's standard security features, including device encryption and Face ID / Passcode.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app.
